The HM Plant Honda rider Cal Crutchlow, is in for one busy week. He is currently in Japan waiting for the second Suzuka test ahead of the eight hour on July 29.
He will be testing tomorrow and Wednesday alongside his team-mate for the eight hour, Tatsuya Yamaguchi.
Crutchlow will fly back from Japan on Thursday before heading to Goodwood for this weekend’s Festival Of Speed, from there it’s back to training for the British Superbike Championship round at Oulton Park on 19/20 July.
The eight hour is an endurance motorcycle race held at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan each year. As the name implies, the race runs for eight hours consecutively and the teams are composed of two riders and one alternate.
The eight hour has been going since 1978 and one of the main attractions for the spectators is that it normally features star riders from MotoGP and British Superbikes.
