This year looks like it will be one of the most competitive British Superbike Championship’s for years with the single tyre rule putting everyone on the same footing.
Ryuichi Kiyonari of course will be battling hard to retain his title of 2007 but he has much more pressure on him this year.
Leon Haslam could be the best contender after signing for the HM Plant Honda Team this year and he will be teaming-up with Carl Crutchlow who himself won the British Supersport title in 2006.
Then, there is the popular Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne’s, one of the most experienced riders in the competition, however, there is the question of how the new Ducati will perform this season.
It’s going to be a very exciting year in the British Superbike Championship for 2008, and now only just over seven weeks to wait until the opening race at Brands Hatch on April 6th, can’t wait.
