This weekend the British Superbikes return to Oulton Park and Cal Crutchlow on the HM Plant Honda is looking for a double win.
Crutchlow is currently 97 points behind the British Superbike Championship leader Shane Byrne on the Airwaves Ducati.
Crutchlow said,
“After passing my test and riding on the road a fair bit, I’m eager to back on a race bike instead of a road bike and I’m looking forward to our second trip to Oulton Park. At the first round there we proved we were fast in wet or dry so whatever the weather we should be up there.
With the season now half gone we need to get a double and that’s what we’re aiming for, but if we can’t beat shakey I want to be the one right behind him, as there are no mugs out there, I love racing these guys and there’s no shame in finishing second even if we all want to win.”
Tom Sykes on the Rizla Suzuki will be looking for that elusive win this weekend, after three podium finishes he is itching to take that top step and a victory.
Sykes said,
“I am ready to go for Oulton Park as we already have a good base setting from the round there earlier on and we have some other changes that will make the bike even better. Oulton Park is a good track and I am looking forward to it. For the rest of the season I just need to get my head down and with six rounds to go I want to put on a good show!”
Karl Harris on the Rob Mac Racing machine is hoping to score plenty of points at Oulton Park, after so far only scoring in four races this season mainly due to bad luck and injuries.”
Harris said,
“Last time we were at Oulton Park I wasn’t completely fit and to be honest probably shouldn’t have raced that weekend, but I am a racer and I wanted to be out there. Looking ahead to the next round at Oulton Park I love the place; it is one of my favourite circuits.
I am not thinking about last time we were there as I was injured and this time I am going to go out there, enjoy it and try and finish two races. The Rob Mac Yamaha is a really good bike and I am looking forward to getting out there and doing my best.”
