Cal Crutchlow, on the HM Plant Honda, has taken the pole position with a time of 1:36.605, for tomorrow’s race at Oulton Park.
He didn’t have it easy, after coming under pressure from four other riders towards the end of the session. Shane Byrne is in second place after narrowly staying ahead of Tom Sykes on the Rizla Suzuki by just a tenth of a second.
Leon Haslam took the final slot on the front row of the grid, despite crashing out at Druid, with only half-an-hour left of the session.
Michael Rutter is in fourth place on the second row of the grid ahead of the still injured, Karl Harris. Leon Camier on the Airwaves Ducati is in sixth with the final position on the second row of the grid going to Michael Laverty.
