James Ellison, Sam Lowes, Simon Buckmaster and Eugene Laverty lined up for NYRRSC chat night

If you are taking advantage of the dry and sunny Spring weather for a run out on your bike and you are in in the North Yorkshire area of Northallerton tomorrow night, be sure to call in at the Golden Lion Hotel for this month’s NYRRSC chat night and a chance to meet some of the British riders challenging for honours this year.

The World Supersport Team PTR Honda have agreed to bring their riders to the NYRRSC before the World Superbike Round at Donington Park and the chat night will feature 2010 British Supersport Champion Sam Lowes plus 2009 British Superbike runner up James Ellison, they will be joined on stage by their new Team Manager Simon Buckmaster.

As a special treat the former PTR Honda rider Eugene Laverty, now riding in World Superbike, will also be taking part in the chat night.

Support the Fighting Back Fundraiser Charity dinner November 20th

Bookings are being taken for the upcoming ‘Fighting Back Fundraiser’ that takes place at the Nottingham Belfry on November 20th. Cancer Research will benefit from the funds raised at the Black tie (with a dash of pink/purple) dinner that has been arranged by freelance motorcycle journalist and fan Carly Rathmell.

There are still some tickets available for the event, priced at £50 each or £500 for a table of ten making it an ideal pre-Christmas company bash for motorcycle racing fans.

Entertainment for the night includes;

A three course meal
Caricatures
A photographer on the night
A palm reader – top psychic Sam Amos
Tombola
Silent auction
Katy Bullock will be singing, she made it to the last 24 in X Factor in 2009
Plus a Disco to round the night off!

Motorcycle racers hoping to attend the event include fan’s favourites Tommy Hill, Danny Webb, Gino Rea, Dan Linfoot, John Kirkham and Sam Lowes, with other riders yet to confirm due to current racing commitments.

New Supersport Team GNS Racing Announce Second Rider

The new British Supersport team GNS Racing, have announced that the rider who will be racing alongside Paul Jordan in the 2010 championship will be the current Supersport Cup Champion Sam Lowes.

Lowes, who will aiming to take the championship title said;

“I’m delighted to be joining GNS Racing and can’t wait to get testing as after a successful first season on a 600, I feel ready for the challenge. It helps to get plans sorted early and we can now concentrate on the season ahead. I’m also looking forward to working with Paul this year and to help him adapt to the four-stroke bike from the 125 as I had to do.”
