Final round of British Supercross to be decided at Liverpool Echo Arena on February 19th

John Williams - Friday 18.02.11, 13:38pm

The final round of the Future West ACU British Supercross Championship takes place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool late tomorrow afternoon, Saturday February 19th.

The previous round held at London’s O2 Arena proved to be a cracking event, leaving many of the battles undecided and to go down to the wire on this coming Saturday’s event in Liverpool.

Here is a brief summary of the action from London and whats to play for in the final round;

LPE Kawasaki signing Ashley Greedy stepped it up after clinching the German SX2 title this winter. Greedy claimed the British Open win rocketing from 8th to 3rd in points only 3 points behind  Martin Barr who will be absent for the final round and just two points behind CCM’s Tom Church.

Greedy also shares the points lead in the SX2 class with South African Neville Bradshaw on the MVRD Honda and sits 5th in the SX1 points. Bradshaw now sits in the top five in all three pro classes.

Buildbase CCM pilot Church had yet another solid performance in London putting him 12 points in front of Bradshaw in the SX1 title chase and a lead in the British Open with the absence of Barr. Meanwhile No Fear Golden Tyre Rabbit Racing Kawasaki pilot Jack Brunell sits in 3rd in the SX2 class just two points short of Greedy and Bradshaw, 3rd in SX1 and 6th in the British Open.

KTM’s Harry Kimber and Cobra’s Dylan Woodcock will look to duke it out in the 65cc class after splitting wins in Belfast and London and are tied on points heading to Liverpool.  KTM’s superstar schoolboy Ben Watson clinched the Supermini title after two flawless wins so far leaving him 28 points in front. KTM’s James Dunn maintains Championship leads in both the Youth Lights and Clubman Open classes. In the Quad class only one point separates Jonny Kelly and Michael McAneney.
