There’s a new kid on the block in the 125cc British Superbike series, 15-year-old Kasey Wyatt, who has signed for the Repli-Cast UK Racing team for the 2009 season.

Kasey from Anerley in South London, started racing Mini-Motos at the age of just 10-years-old and won five races in his first season.

He then moved onto 50cc, where again, he continued to run at the front and take the victories.  In 2006 he moved to a 70cc but in the same year he suffered a serious accident which resulted in him losing his spleen.  Determined not to let that interfere with his career, he was back on track after just five weeks, missing only one round of the championship.

In 2007 Kasey rode a full-sized Aprilia RS125 and by July was up on the podium once again, ending the Championship in eighth place and collecting the title of ‘Rookie Of The Y-ear’,  giving him the perfect step-up to the National 125 Championship.

Definitely someone to look out for in the future, Kasey said,

“I’m so happy about this opportunity.  I intend on repaying everyone for their belief in me.  I’ve been training really hard in preparation for this season and the steep learning curve I face – I’m well up for the challenge.”

The team are due for their first official outing of the season on 5th March at Cartagena in Spain.
