Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne was the fastest man on the Brands Hatch track again today ahead of tomorrows two races in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
Shakey is already on pole position for tomorrows race, after qualifying was carried-over from the cancelled Brands Hatch round on 6 April which was then rescheduled for this weekend.
His team-mate, Leon Camier, on the second Airwaves Ducati, was the next fastest man followed by Leon Haslam for HM Plant Honda. In third place was Haslam’s injured team-mate Cal Crutchlow taking fourth ahead of Tom Sykes in fifth for Rizla Suzuki.
