After an impressive weekend from Tommy Hill at the last round of the British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park, the Worx Crescent Suzuki team are to retain the rider for the Brands Hatch round on the 9th August.
Replacing the injured rider Sylvain Guintoli, the former World Superbike man was fastest in all practice sessions and took second on the grid in the qualifying session. Hill was taken out in the huge accident that wiped-out the front six runners in race one and the weather scuppered any chances of him being on the podium in race two after the red flag came out.
His performance at the Mallory Park track certainly merited a second outing on the GSX-R1000 and obviously impressed team boss Jack Valentine, who hailed the rider as ‘a real revelation’.
